Transformation Tuesday:: 21 Day Fix Results-Round1

The results are in!  I lost exactly 4 lbs while doing the Fix fitness program.  Now, I left out the portion part, because that is where I strayed and hence why I am doing a round 2.  I saw the most weight-loss the first week and then smaller losses the second two weeks.

Planning & Prepping!!  is what made me successful!  The days that I didn't have to think about what I was going to eat, were the best days.  I stuck to the plan for the first week really well, and then I "eye-balled" it.  Did my results reflect that?  Absolutely!  Could I have lost more?  Absolutely!  Am I disappointed in myself?  Yes and No.

Throughout this entire year, I have really made an effort to make this a lifestyle and sometimes, life happens.  We eat with friends and we eat out a lot.  It just isn't something practical to say that we are going to eat at home every night.  However, I know that I need to make my mind stronger and choose better.  I know that it is completely up to me how I finish out this year and what my Jan VS Dec pictures will look like.  I know that for the huge goal that I have set myself for 2015, that things need to change so that I can stay on a clean diet with only one cheat a week.  And that is why I am not going to beat myself up over how I did Round 1 of the Fix, but I know I could have had better results, had I stuck with the plan.  After all, it did help me get over my 7 Week Plateau!!!

Yesterday, I began Round 2 of the Fix.  Another great aspect of this program: it's only three weeks.  You can build momentum and keep the rounds going and if you didn't do as well as you hoped for, then you have a fresh start just around the corner.

My next Fix group is happening now and it isn't too late to hop on board!  We will be focusing on comfort, crock pot and holiday foods and will be finishing up just before Thanksgiving. And there will be a TurboFire Greatest HIITS CD up for grabs at the end for the winner!

I have my before and afters for Round1 below!  And a bonus pic of my hubby too!!  Have a Great Day Ya'll!!

Happy 3rd Blog-aversary!!

It's been three (3) years to the day since I began blogging.  I've taken a LONG break lately as I have had many transitions in my life.  But in the past few weeks, I've been considering sharing more about the next stage of this journey called life with you all. In three short years, I have gone from motivating others to experiencing weight gain and depression.  Being delivered from said depression and fighting to lose the weight.  I'd say sometimes in life, motivation shows up in the difficult times and then sometimes it's no where to be found-- a bit of a roller coaster really. And about a year ago, I was tired.  Tired of not getting enough sleep, tired of the structure and I needed a break.  This break cost me about 20 lbs and goodness has it been tough to get my mind right again.  But I'm experiencing life!!  Enjoying the moment!  And making memories with my family and friends that have been so good for my soul. And in this season, ...

21 Day Fix Approved French Toast Pancakes

This week begins tax school. Which means twice a week, I will be teaching a bilingual tax course to prepare for next tax season. I really enjoy it, but it can be tricky trying to eat healthy during this time. I remember last year Taco Bell and Hardee's were my "go-to" dinner choices. Fast forward to this year and I'll be having my shakeology for dinner each evening that I teach. It's easy, quick and keeps me full throughout the class.  So because of this, I am not having my usual shakeology for breakfast.  This morning, I wanted something other than eggs so I looked for a fix approved pancake.  Now I've made the low carb pancakes that are only made with banana and egg and they were YUCK! (Just being honest) I was hestitant with these but I hand everything at the house already so there was nothing to loose if they didn't taste good.  They have the consistency of French toast with the look and feel of pancakes. I was full until lunch time. Getting 2 reds in ...

The Summit...Would You Start Over?

So as most of you know, I went to Nashville last month for Beachbody's national convention called Summit.  It is the most amazing event where people who's purpose is to help others get together, share wonderful ideas/trainings and completely refill your cup before you go back home. This year one of the speakers was talking about completing a workout program in it's entirety when we returned home.  And they were telling us not to start over if we hit some bumps in the road.  Now, I for one, am a habitual "starter over" so I probably turned a little red (those who know me know how a can get flushed in a split second).  In a room of about 14k people, I was feeling like they were talking right to me. But then the best example was given...when you begin a hike/climb up a mountain, if you didn't like how fast you went or your progress in the first few hours, would you start over??? Um...NO way!!  That seems like a no-brainer.  There's no way that you would ...
