So here goes it! I wish I could be writing this saying that I stayed with it all three days and that I felt great and accomplished! Whomp Whomp!! I can't.
Day 1 went perfect! I stuck with the plan, are everything, and drank all the coconut oil I was supposed to. Day 2 was harder. I brought all my food to work and made it through meal 2 ok, but then came meal 3 and my stomach turned on me! I only are half of it (ground turkey and veggies- not my favorite), but thought "I liked the fish yesterday so I'll do fine with that one!" Wrong! My stomach had made up it's mind: too much meat! I tried to eat the fish but could not finish even half of that. I brought no other food with me and by the time I went to pick the boys up even my coach asked me if I was ok. Clearly the hunger and feeling of defeat was written all over me.
The reason WHY I want to accomplish this HUGE goal is because I always quit on myself. Have I still accomplished goals, absolutely; however, I also look back and think, where could I be if I had just stuck with it all the way? Hindsight's 20/20 right?
At the end of Day 2, I came home and had a small peanut butter and jelly sandwich that was sooo good!! And then I had a BBQ sandwich with about 1/8 cup of baked beans (that's NO WHERE on the plan!).
Day 3 was 50/50. I only ate three meals and a snack and lunch was a doozy! I had my oats and egg whites for breakfast. I actually really liked them! Surprisingly it's a lot! I mixed the egg whites in my oats because I don't like them by them self. And then I had shakeology for dinner.
Instead of thinking of this as one big failure, I am trying to see the successes and things I have learned::
-I realized that I need a realistic plan that has food that I enjoy eating!
-I will cook my chicken in the crockpot next time with a salt free taco seasoning
-No ground turkey next time.
-When I am home, I will cook my food the day of for better taste.
-I surprisingly didn't crave sugar the first two days! I did get into some Halloween candy during lunch yesterday. (Ahh!! When will it be gone??)
- I lost a total of 4 lbs in just three days!
I would still recommend the quick fix to anyone that wants to loose a few more lbs before an event or wanting to get over a plateau.
I would love to do another trial run of a prep meal plan in the near future, so stay tuned! It will probably be the week before or after thanksgiving.
