3 Day Refresh Update!!!

Hey Everyone!!  I am so excited to share my results with you!  I've been wanting to try this cleanse ever since it was launched last year.  The timing was never right for me.  But think about it, is there really a "right" and "perfect" time for a new routine. Probably not!  I had to turn down a lunch out and multiple delicious dinners, but I wanted to see this all the way through!!  I wasn't THAT bad and I wanted to finish these three days with a success while sticking with the program 100% the entire time.
I have NEVER EVER stuck to an eating program 100%!!  Yep, I said it...Yikes!!  There has always been a little bit of the kids food or a little (sometimes big) cheat here and there.  This time I was determined and I'm excited to say, there were no bites of food and no sips of drinks that were not allowed.

I choose to start on Monday to avoid temptations at home.
I prepped all my Monday food on Sunday night, so I was ready to go on Monday.
I brought my 3 Day Refresh booklet to work and referred to it throughout the day to make sure I was staying on track.
I was nervous of just how "effective" the fiber sweep was going to be. It's not bad at all!!
Lunch was my favorite!  Probably because it was the biggest meal!  And I could finish it with my fruit so it felt like I was having dessert.
I opted-in for the 1 cup organic vegetable broth for dinner.  It made dinner feel more like a full meal and I normally drank my shake last since it was sweet.
I rounded out my evenings with another cup of herbal tea that relaxed me just enough for bed.
I will definitely do the Refresh again!!

Day 1
Breakfast: Shakeology with 1/2 banana blended together
AM tea: Peach Tea
Late AM: Fiber Sweep
Lunch: Vanilla Fresh Shake with Carrots, hummus and 1 cup cantaloupe
PM Snack: Celery and almond butter
Late PM Tea: Peach Tea
Dinner: Vanilla Fresh Shake with cinnamon, Coconut Steamed Veggies and 1 cup of organic vegetable broth with italian herb seasoning (salt-free)
Before Bed: Peach Tea

Day 2
Breakfast: Shakeology with 12 Strawberries blended together
AM tea: Peach Tea
Late AM: Fiber Sweep
Lunch: Vanilla Fresh Shake with Carrots, hummus and Strawberries (it must of been the fruit of the day!)
PM Snack: Celery and almond butter
Late PM Tea: Peach Tea
Dinner: Vanilla Fresh Shake with cinnamon, Roasted asparagus and 1 cup of organic vegetable broth with italian herb seasoning (salt-free)
Before Bed: Peach Tea
I sacrificed this AMAZING club sandwich on day 2!

Day 3:
Breakfast: Shakeology with pure vanilla extract and cinnamon and a half an apple on the side
AM tea: I forgot it at home when we went to the Zoo (so sad!)
Leaving the Zoo: Fiber Sweep (packed my water and packet to shake up in the car on the way home)
Lunch: Vanilla Fresh Shake (with a little lime juice) with tomatoes, hummus and a half a banana
PM Snack: Celery with almond butter (the almond butter was rich with a touch of sweetness that I love!)
PM Tea: Peach Tea
Dinner: Roasted Asparagus with almonds and 1 cup of organic vegetable broth
Before Bed: Peach tea

I drank a ton of water; at least one 16 oz glass between each meal/drink.  And I had to pee all the time.

Last week, day after day, I woke up feeling nauseous and with a headache.  Today, I woke up feeling GREAT!!  No nausea and no headache!!  I've been five days without caffeine and will begin buying caffeine free coffee from now on.  I drink it because of the flavor instead of the caffeine anyway.

My FINAL RESULTS are:::

POUNDS LOST:: 4.8 lbs!!!
INCHES LOST::  4 inches!!!  (one off my waist alone!!)

Thanks for listening in to my story and letting me share it with you!! :)

Happy 3rd Blog-aversary!!

It's been three (3) years to the day since I began blogging.  I've taken a LONG break lately as I have had many transitions in my life.  But in the past few weeks, I've been considering sharing more about the next stage of this journey called life with you all. In three short years, I have gone from motivating others to experiencing weight gain and depression.  Being delivered from said depression and fighting to lose the weight.  I'd say sometimes in life, motivation shows up in the difficult times and then sometimes it's no where to be found-- a bit of a roller coaster really. And about a year ago, I was tired.  Tired of not getting enough sleep, tired of the structure and I needed a break.  This break cost me about 20 lbs and goodness has it been tough to get my mind right again.  But I'm experiencing life!!  Enjoying the moment!  And making memories with my family and friends that have been so good for my soul. And in this season, ...

21 Day Fix Approved French Toast Pancakes

This week begins tax school. Which means twice a week, I will be teaching a bilingual tax course to prepare for next tax season. I really enjoy it, but it can be tricky trying to eat healthy during this time. I remember last year Taco Bell and Hardee's were my "go-to" dinner choices. Fast forward to this year and I'll be having my shakeology for dinner each evening that I teach. It's easy, quick and keeps me full throughout the class.  So because of this, I am not having my usual shakeology for breakfast.  This morning, I wanted something other than eggs so I looked for a fix approved pancake.  Now I've made the low carb pancakes that are only made with banana and egg and they were YUCK! (Just being honest) I was hestitant with these but I hand everything at the house already so there was nothing to loose if they didn't taste good.  They have the consistency of French toast with the look and feel of pancakes. I was full until lunch time. Getting 2 reds in ...

The Summit...Would You Start Over?

So as most of you know, I went to Nashville last month for Beachbody's national convention called Summit.  It is the most amazing event where people who's purpose is to help others get together, share wonderful ideas/trainings and completely refill your cup before you go back home. This year one of the speakers was talking about completing a workout program in it's entirety when we returned home.  And they were telling us not to start over if we hit some bumps in the road.  Now, I for one, am a habitual "starter over" so I probably turned a little red (those who know me know how a can get flushed in a split second).  In a room of about 14k people, I was feeling like they were talking right to me. But then the best example was given...when you begin a hike/climb up a mountain, if you didn't like how fast you went or your progress in the first few hours, would you start over??? Um...NO way!!  That seems like a no-brainer.  There's no way that you would ...
