There She Goes With The WaterWorks...

Yesterday was just like any other day.  I chose to sleep in on my day off (the boys made it to 7:30 which meant an extra 2 1/2 hours!!! Thank you Lord!!) and do my workout during nap time.  My oldest is extremely difficult to get to sleep (and I'm not ready to let go of naps) so it took about an hour to get them both to sleep. I immediately changed into my workout clothes and set up the laptop.  I absolutely loved MAX SWEAT.  Shaun T said it would be difficult and it lived up to that.  The first three sections were hard but I could do each move and was able to push myself.  Then we got to the fourth and ya'll! I couldn't even do the modifier for one move.  That's never happen but the coordination it took was not happening! The last part was awesome and I felt strong.  Then we got to the cool down... This is where it all hit me like a ton of bricks.  Shaun T said, "right about now you may feel like you just shot yourself (yep), no you feel...

A Time for Discipline

I'm sure many of you have heard the verses in Ecclesiastes that states there's a time for everything under the sun. All of us are experiencing something whether it be good or bad.  My experience isn't "that" serious today but it is shaping my future. Friday, I finished Month 1 of Insanity Max:30. This program is no doubt my favorite program that Beachbody and Shaun T has developed. The 21 Day Fix Extreme may give it a run for it's money when it comes out next month but, right now, I'm a Max:30 addict.  Y'all have seen my posts of my workouts all throughout this past month; I only missed 3 workouts in Month 1. I've never stuck with one program this long, not to mention looking forward to it everyday.  So how were my results month 1?  Not great! Like, so not great that I didn't even want to post about it!! (Yep!) I lost 1/2 lb and 2 1/2 inches. I am happy about those inches because I lost a full inch off my waist and was able to wiggle into a siz...

The Fit Blanquita's 1st Annual Turkey Day 5K

Yay!! I'm so excited to announce something that's been brewing for the past couple of weeks. I will be hosting a virtual Turkey Day 5K on Thanksgiving Day!! So grab your family and loved ones on Thursday and get MOVING!!  I will probably start my day with this because I KNOW that after I eat, I won't "feel" like it! If you're like that too, then have a "no excuses" plan to get it done in the morning! The benefits of exercising on Turkey Day will not only make you less likely to gain weight, it will also make you feel GOOD!  Accomplished!  And you may even consider changing your habits on a day where so many throw caution to the wind.  Track your 5K with the Nike app or some other distance app and then take a #finishlineselfie.  I CANNOT WAIT FOR THURSDAY!! Who's with me???!!!!

Some Days...

Some days you won't feel like it! Some days you'll want to throw in the towel.  Some days you will eat whatever you want.  Some days you will get frustrated because this journey is hard.  Some days you will feel defeated.  Some days you will cry.  Some days you will feel inadequate.  Some days you won't feel ready.  Some days you will be scared.  Some days you will be tired.  Some days you will compare yourself to others.  Some days you may get jealous.  Some days you'll let that comparison steal your joy.  Some days you'll want to stay in your comfort zone.  Some days you'll loose your momentum.  Some days will be just those- SOME DAYS! But EVERYDAY, you need to tell yourself you are strong! You are courageous! You are doing things that others don't do so you can live like others won't live! You will grow outside of your comfort zone! You will reflect on how far you've come!  No one can take that away from you! ...
