One Week- Post Refresh

Today, Tuesday is about one week post Refresh and I am feeling great!!!  I'll be honest, I wasn't completely sold that this was a "miracle" kick-start but now, I'm totally a believer!!  In the past week, I have completely changed the way I am eating.  I'm back to where I want to be without feeling like I am dying of deprivation (we've all been there, lol). Throughout the week, I chose less bread and more healthy veggies, fruits and fats.  On Friday night, I for my "cheat meal," I ate two slices of cheese pizza and two samoa cookies (I am so ready for that last box to be GONE!!).  I was going to have a little diet soda too, and I took two sips and wasn't impressed, so I switched back to water.  I was stuffed!!  The week before I would have had more that two slices, for sure, followed by a HUGE dessert!  Sweets are my downfall y'all! I am still working on Saturdays until April 15th (go get your taxes done!!!) and I eat out on that day.

3 Day Refresh Update!!!

Hey Everyone!!  I am so excited to share my results with you!  I've been wanting to try this cleanse ever since it was launched last year.  The timing was never right for me.  But think about it, is there really a "right" and "perfect" time for a new routine. Probably not!  I had to turn down a lunch out and multiple delicious dinners, but I wanted to see this all the way through!!  I wasn't THAT bad and I wanted to finish these three days with a success while sticking with the program 100% the entire time. I have NEVER EVER stuck to an eating program 100%!!  Yep, I said it...Yikes!!  There has always been a little bit of the kids food or a little (sometimes big) cheat here and there.  This time I was determined and I'm excited to say, there were no bites of food and no sips of drinks that were not allowed. I choose to start on Monday to avoid temptations at home. I prepped all my Monday food on Sunday night, so I was ready to go on Monday. I brough

"Refreshing" Dinners

...See what I did there?..."Refreshing" I digress; alright, so I told ya'll that I would be sharing some of my cleanse dinners.  They are SUPER simple and easy.  Perfect for any weather in any season.  If you are in a hurry, these are great clean "go-to" meals that can be ready in 15-20 minutes. First up,  Steamed Coconut Veggies! - 1/2 cup cauliflower - 1/2 cup broccoli - 4-5 baby carrots - 1/2 cup water - 1/2 tbsp coconut oil - fresh herbs of your choosing (I used a dry herb salt-free mixture) Steam all veggies for about 5 minutes.  While steaming veggies, warm 1 cup of organic vegetable broth on the stove or in the microwave.  Once veggies are tender yet crunchy, pour the warm vegetable broth over the veggies. Pair this with the Vanilla Refresh Shake or Shakeo. If not on the cleanse, you can pair with quinoa or a baked sweet potato with coconut oil and organic cinnamon.  Next up,  Roasted Asparagus with Sli

Meal Plan in the Making

When you begin a new routine, creating a meal plan and prepping your food sets you up for major success.  No matter what food guide your following, meal planning and prepping will save you time and money in the long run. You'll only eat what you've cooked and taken with you. And you'll only buy what's on the plan; this way, you will avoid throwing out so much food by the end of the week.  Where do you begin?? Well, I like to start with dinner. I like to make sure I have a serving of protein, veggie and carb left for dinner- followed by a serving if fruit if I want dessert.  This also helps guide me when I go out to eat, because I know if I stick to those basic food groups, using portion control, I'll stay on track.  Next, I'll look to see what food is already in the house that I can add in each day  before it goes bad. I like to spread out my carbs throughout the day and have a serving of fruit in the afternoon to satisfy my daily sweet tooth.  Your cravings may
